System tray icons

The tray menu is accessed by right-clicking on the UCx Integrator Client icon which is a green square (or red if you're on a call or yellow if a call is on hold). Note: In Windows 7 and above, some tray icons become hidden and expressly have to be shown. These settings are stored in the 'Notification Area Icons' part of the Windows Control Panel.

Availability menu

Quick dial box: Type the number to dial or enter the name to find contact details.

Recent menu: Quickly see recently dialed numbers, and click to redial them.

Preferred device: When multiple devices are registered to a user and connected to the telephone system, the user can set which is the preferred device from this list. This function will allow you determine which of your associated Unified Communicator devices will be used when you make a call from Unified Communicator. It will also determine which of your devices will ring when a colleague double-clicks your user icon from the Presence window.

Any of the following events will change the selected preferred device:

  • User manually changes from the Preferred device option in the system tray menu.
  • The client controlling the current preferred devices logs out. In such cases the preferred device will be set to the client having the oldest registration with the server.

Features: Setup DND and Call Forwarding on your extension.

Availability menu: Change your status as it appears to other users of the software. Can be automatically set if Microsoft Outlook integration is enabled.

Configuration: Contains options to change your user experience, and configure CRM packages to integrate with.

Context-sensitive online help button

Help: Click this option to open the software's online help in your default internet browser. Also, the software's windows have context-sensitive help buttons which will open the appropriate online help page when clicked.

Exit: Use this to unload the software.
